Great article on the burgeoning SSD (solid state hard drive) market. The newly released Mtron 32gb drive can hit a maximum write speed of 71mb/s! Easily ahead of a top-of-the-line SATA hard drive.
“The SSD is the fastest storage medium available and not soon to be beaten by anything on the horizon. “

Samsung just showed off their new 64gb flash memory chip targeted towards MP3 players and SSD hard drives. The single chip can store 18,000 songs! Paired together they can easily rival common hard drives. Samsung is in a race with Toshiba to release this chip sometime in 2009.

The Sansa TakeTV is a great, simple device from Sandisk that allows you to easily watch video from your computer on your TV. The device is essentially a USB storage drive that plugs into a cradle for viewing on through a composite/s-video out. Don’t expect an HD experience, however you can view DivX, xVid, MPEG-4 and AVI files at a resolution up to 720 x 576. Pricing is steep at $99.99 for a 4gb model and $149.99 for a 8gb model.

Great post over at Photopreneur about using Flickr to grow your photography business. Some of the best points are that the networking in Flickr is second to none, you can easily get feedback on your photos - this helps with experimentation, promotion is far easier on Flickr and best of all it is free!
Also, check out the Flickr blog…amazing pictures!
I do like and use Flickr, but find that Picasaweb is so much easier to use, upload files and share. It would be beneficial to Flickr to have a standalone photo management client.
